The Origin Story

Bridging the gap between the stars and our classroom.

Muhammad Afif Erdita

Why I Built This

Hi, I'm Afif, a high school student from Indonesia with a simple, yet overwhelming obsession: the scale of the universe.

Growing up, I realized that for many students in my country, astronomy feels like something "exclusive" to developed nations or elite universities. Our textbooks are often outdated, and high-quality space data is usually locked behind a language barrier or complex scientific jargon.

The Motivation

I built ASTRA because I wanted a "research partner" that doesn't just give answers, but explains the universe in a way that makes sense to a student in a rural village or a researcher in a city laboratory. I wanted to democratize the cosmos.

The Noble Purpose

ASTRA's true mission is to ignite a spark of curiosity in Indonesia's next generation. If one student uses this tool to understand orbital mechanics and decides to pursue an engineering degree for our country's future space program, then ASTRA has succeeded.
